The Audiology Department at Wake Forest Baptist Health offers comprehensive diagnostic testing for patients from birth through adulthood, as well as cutting edge amplification options. Our staff includes 14 audiologists who are committed to providing quality care to individuals with all degrees of hearing loss. We all enjoy teaching and working with students.
In order to meet the unique needs of both children and adults, we have three clinic sites. Our clinic located at the main hospital provides diagnostic and intervention services for children, including newborns. Our adult clinic, located in the Medical Plaza- Miller Street facility, offers diagnostic and rehabilitative care for the adult population including hearing aids, cochlear implants, and vestibular evaluation. The Clemmons office offers both adult and pediatric services.
Following the application process, students who are being considered for the externship will be invited for an in-person interview. This allows you to see our clinics, meet the staff and ensure that this a good placement that will fit your needs. You will also meet our current students who can offer information about their externship experience.
