Rotating 4th Year Audiology Position – Tyler, Texas

ENT Associates of East Texas, a busy, 6 physician, ENT practice in Tyler, Texas, has a rotating 4th year Audiology Intern position available starting May 2018. Tyler is located approximately 90 miles southeast of Dallas and 60 miles west of Shreveport, LA. Tyler is a large medical community with four hospitals, over 400 physicians and also serves as the regional trauma center.
ENT Associates of East Texas has been in business for over 30 years. We have 6 board-certified Otolaryngology physicians and a Physician Assistant on staff. We also have a large audiology staff including 5 full time audiologists and 2 part time audiologists. We are a very busy clinic offering a wide range of ancillary services including allergy testing, immunotherapy and balance testing. In addition, we operate a thriving and rapidly growing hearing aid center.
Applicants should have well-rounded experience in all areas of audiology. The ideal candidate must have strong technical skills and be able to function independently within 6-8 weeks. A strong interest in hearing aids is required. Candidates should also exhibit a strong work ethic, strong customer service skills, exhibit a positive attitude, be able to work with all types of personalities and be a self starter.
This is a full time, 40 hours per week position. Experience will be available approximately 20 hours per week in the areas of adult and pediatric audiometry, OAE’s, neurologic ABR testing, and balance function testing including VNG, and Epley maneuvers. A strong emphasis (15-20 hours/week) will also be placed on hearing aids, including hearing aid selection, dispensing, repair and follow up skills. Preferred manufacturers include Oticon, ReSound, Phonak, Starkey and Widex.
Starting salary: $29,000 without benefits
Length of Position: 1 year – Ending May 2019
