Southwestern Ear Nose and Throat is seeking upcoming 4th year audiology externs. Our mission is to provide thoughtful and comprehensive ear, nose and throat care for the patients of New Mexico.
SWENT features centers in Hearing and balance, allergy and sleep disorders. At Southwestern Ear, Nose, and Throat we take a team approach to health care. Our facility serves as the largest provider of hearing aids in northern New Mexico and offers comprehensive diagnostic and rehabilitative services.
SWENT's flagship office is located in Santa Fe and has satellite offices in Los Alamos, Espanola and Las Vegas to better serve our patients in Northern New Mexico.
The position is a salaried position, which begins in May of 2018 and is approximately a year long. We are looking for a team member who demonstrates exceptional clinical skills, academic performance, and a strong work ethic. The fast paced nature of our clinic requires a think on your feet approach, and is looking for individuals looking to grow professionally while working with a team.
Externship site expects the extern to have mastered these skills before they begin their clinical externship:

Southwestern Ear, Nose & Throat Associates (SWENT) has served the health needs of Santa Fe and the communities of northern New Mexico since 1986. We provide comprehensive ear, nose and throat services in a modern facility in Santa Fe. Our five ENT physicians are Drs. Thomas Thomason, David Brown, Peter Shepard, Matthew Hinsley, and Lily Love. Dr. Roger Wiggins directs our sleep center. Our audiolo...gists are Dr. Kathleen Weidner, Dr. Brett Adams, Dr. Danielle Morgan, and Hearing Instrument Specialist Maureen Ocampo.
The practice has an Allergy and Sinus Center providing diagnostic skin testing, immunotherapy (allergy shots) and sublingual therapy. Our Hearing and Balance Center provides diagnostic testing for hearing issues and we dispense hearing aids. The Southwestern Sleep Center provides testing for sleep apnea and snoring disorders.
The practice has assembled an experienced and customer focused staff working in a team oriented environment. For our patients needing hospital care, our physicians use Christus St. Vincent Regional Medical Center located across the street from our practice or Physicians Medical Center.
