The Department of Otolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery at Columbia University Medical Center is seeking a full-time audiologist. The individual will be responsible for providing audiology hearing and balance services to an adult and pediatric population. The patients have ongoing rehabilitative needs regarding their hearing aids and bone anchored devices. Specialized skills required are: audiologic evaluation; sedated and non-sedated auditory brainstem response (ABR) measurement; adult hearing aids; VNG testing and VEMP testing. The individual will be responsible for providing patient care to an adult and pediatric hearing impaired population.
Individuals will practice in the University hospital setting. Educational opportunities include teaching medical students and residents. Research opportunities are numerous in both the clinical and basic science areas.
Applicants must be eligible for both a New York State Audiologist and a Hearing Aid Dispensary licenses. Minimum education requirement is a Doctorate of Audiology.
Ideal applicant will have the following skill set: audiologic evaluation, sedated and non-sedated auditory brainstem response (ABR) measurement, knowledge of adult hearing aids, VNG testing and VEMP testing.
