Our busy private-practice dispensing clinic is looking to grow and add a new member to our team! This is not an ENT office or a retail store- we practice a modified medical model where our patients primarily come from medical referrals and are looking for excellent service, a highly professional demeanor and superior skills which result in an unmatched patient experience. You will have the opportunity to practice within the full scope of your training, as a doctor of audiology and primary case manager for the hearing health of your patients. You will have both front and back office support who are extremely competent and make it a pleasure to do your job. You will primarily be doing hearing aid consultations, fitting hearing aids and taking care of patients with existing amplification. We follow all AAA Fitting Protocols, to include REM and validation measures, and provide aural rehabilitation. We work with several manufacturers and help everyone, regardless of where they got their hearing aids. You must be independent, confident, friendly and deeply care about the hearing-impaired patient. This is a permanent full-time position, working 5 days a week. Administers Diagnostic Tests
Performs Comprehensive Evaluations
Tympanometry, Acoustic Reflex Threshold, Hearing in Noise Testing (Q-SIN) and other speech in nose tests.
Provides amplification services including, hearing aid assessment testing, real ear measurements and live speech mapping. (Verification and Validation).
Consults with and makes recommendations regarding hearing disorders to physicians.
Coordinates care with physicians and other providers.
Completes chart notes for each patient seen and sends written report to referring physician and primary care physician
Manages Hearing Rehabilitation
Counsels patients regarding test results.
Makes recommendations regarding hearing care options, must possess strong sales acumen and effectively counsel while building patient rapport to add value to Atlantic Hearing & Balance
Reviews products available to improve hearing impairment.
Treats patients with appropriate hearing care products and warranties as deemed necessary to meet the needs of the patient.
Provides hearing aid dispensing, including verification and validation measures, ongoing management with follow-up, and education.
Demonstrates and sells Assistive Listening Devices (ALD), Hearing Assistance Technology (HAT), batteries, and other special products.
Performs hearing aid checks and cleaning and repairs.
Assists with practice growth and marketing activities to include: one-on-one meetings with collaborating physicians, and public speaking in the community to educate potential patients.
Responsible for revenue and margin outcomes.
Maintains positive relationships with various vendors.
Assists patients with exchanges or returns as needed.
Involved in clinical quality outcomes, including efficiency and productivity to include reporting on key performance indicators.
Provides excellent patient service and maintains good public relations.
Shares administrative duties with colleagues as needed.
Performs all other miscellaneous duties as assigned.
Practices good safety and infection control protocols.
Exercises confidentiality as it relates to business information.
Helps with patient outreach and development of practice business to business opportunities
Assists with mentoring Team members; be able to engage in active supervisory role for 3rd year and 4th year audiology students.
Participate and actively contribute in weekly in-person/remote professional development and chart review meetings with Clinical Director.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:
Excellent interpersonal skills that allow effective working relationships with a diverse customer, colleague, and vendor population. This includes listening, Treatment, and problem solving skills.
Strong keyboard/computer/Audiology diagnostic and hearing aid software and equipment experience.
Must have a minimum of 5 years clinical dispensing experience, and a proven track record of motivating patients to move forward with treatment.
Must be able to organize time and prioritize numerous duties within strict deadlines.
Must deal with patients in a caring and respectful manner.
Must be detailed oriented.
Must have an Doctor of Audiology degree and be licensed in the state of Florida.
Must be comfortable with technology, including computers and computerized chart systems.
