Northwest Hospital & Medical Center, a part of the UW Medicine System, is looking for a Full Time Audiologist to join our Northwest Hearing & Balance Team. On March 20th they will be moving to brand new clinic space at the Meridian Pavilion located on the west side of the I-5 Freeway by Northgate Mall. We are looking for an Audiologist who is compassionate and committed to improving and maintaining the quality of life of our patients suffering from ear related conditions. We achieve this through the diagnosis and treatment of disorders within the hearing and balance systems. Putting our patient’s needs first, our staff works to ensure that each person receives individualized care. When necessary we include a network of trusted professionals for the most comprehensive treatment.
Responsibilities: Provides diagnostic and therapeutic services by assessing and treating the hearing, balance, and communication disorders of patients.
Job Duties: Defines patient hearing impairment and balance disorder by
Conferring with referring physician.
Selecting and administering behavioral and electrophysiological tests including otoscopy, audiometry, tympanometry, optoacoustic emissions, ABR/ECoG, VEMP, VNG.
Operating diagnostic equipment.
Determining type and degree of hearing impairment and effects on comprehension and speech.
Interpreting audiometric diagnostic data.
Preparing written diagnostic reports.
Develops an audiologic treatment/management plan.
Evaluates, selects, fits and dispenses hearing assistive technology devices to include hearing aids and bone-anchored hearing aids.
Maintains supplies inventory by checking stock; anticipating needs; placing and expediting orders; verifying receipt.

Education: Masters Degree or AuD
License/Certification: Pass the nationally recognized audiology examination or receive official verification from the American Speech and Hearing Association (ASHA), clinical competency certifications, American Board of Audiology (ABA) or the American Academy of Audiology (AAA).
Licensed to practice in the state of Washington
Work Experience: Prior experience as an Audiologist preferred.
