Opportunity for an experienced or new graduate audiologist to work in an innovative and friendly team.
Our Audiology department is looking for full or part time applicants for a permanent audiologist role based at Waikato hospital.
The Waikato Hospital Audiology department provides a comprehensive rehabilitation and diagnostic service for children and adults, with the opportunity to work in specialised areas including a complex paediatric caseload, electrophysiological assessments, and bone anchored hearing aid assessment and fitting. We are part of a purpose built facility that operates alongside Ear Nose and Throat specialists, and Maxillofacial specialists. There will be opportunities for you to develop in areas of interest, identify and initiate quality improvements, and plan your own career progression.
You will be working within a team comprising of a number of experienced audiologists, supportive and efficient administrative staff, and a well-established co-located Newborn Hearing Screening Programme. You will also have the opportunity to run rural satellite clinics. Supervision and mentorship is provided as well as weekly staff meetings, case conferences, and regular case discussion. Full support and supervision is available for Audiologists completing their NZAS Clinical Competency Certificate (CCC) or Paediatric Certificates.
This position could suit an audiologist working in the private sector who is looking for a new challenge, or a new graduate with an interest in developing a broad foundation in clinical practice.
Applicants must also have excellent interpersonal skills, excellent verbal & written communication, and the ability to work well within a team.

Applicants must have completed a Masters degree in Audiology, or have an equivalent qualification recognised by the New Zealand Audiological Society. Ideally we are looking for someone who has completed or is nearing completion of the NZAS Clinical Competency Certificate; however new graduate applicants are also welcome to apply.
