Labyrinth Audiology offers a one-year Audiology Externship at our office in Boca Raton, Florida for applicants enrolled in an accredited Doctor of Audiology program. We specialize in hearing, tinnitus, vertigo and decreased sound tolerance disorders ( hyperacusis and misophonia). Additionally, if interested, candidates also will have guided research opportunities under the supervision of Professor Danesh. Many of our previous externs have presented in national conventions or have published in journals.
This externship provides in-depth clinical knowledge and skills that enable candidates to provide high-quality comprehensive audiology and balance care. The one year training focuses on patient care, providing advanced clinical audiology services to adult population in sunny South Florida. You will enjoy the ocean, golf, sight seeing and other fun activities in your spare time!
In-depth clinical experiences are provided to develop an expert and competent audiologist, including the following services and treatments:
Balance and fall assessment,
Vestibular diagnostic tests such as: Vestibular evoked myogenic potentials Video head impulse test and Videonystagmography (VNG)
Externship site expects the extern to have mastered these skills before they begin their clinical externship:

Yes The primary audiologist is a well published audiological scientist. The candidate will have an opportunity to work under his supervision for research and academic purposes.

How frequently will the externship site communicate with the university during the externship?
Communication or other support do expected or required from the university during the externship:

Tinnitus therapy has been a center of attention to this practice and patients receive outstanding services and ...treatment at our center. Vestibular diagnosis and rehabilitation is also provided to patients and those who are referred by other medical practitioners such as family physicians, internists, pediatricians, neurologists, and otolaryngologists. Start date is mid May to June 1st 2018!
