We are a neurophysiology based audiology department within a level 1 trauma hospital with an adjoining pediatric hospital. We perform VNG/ENG, Posturography (CDP), EP (sedated and unsedated), ECOG, VEMP, VER, CAPT, OAE and Infant hearing screenings. We see both the adult and pediatric populations for selection and dispensing of amplification. Adult and pediatric populations seen for hearing evaluations and all other diagnostics. Adult and pediatric cochlear implant/temporal bone implant mapping/programming and evaluation. IOM and CI surgery observation optional for those interested. Poster presentation required for Ohio Academy of Audiology conference. Externship runs from July 1- June 30
4th year externship eligibility
Commitment to the full 12 month time period of the externship is expected.

Yes On occasion the student may travel with an audiologist to a satellite office for EP testing. This is a 20 minute commute.

Letters of Recommendation Resume Phone interview Other Please submit your resume/CV and 2 signed/sealed letters of recommendation. Letters should come directly from instructor. Resume/CV should outline specific testing and learnings during each externship experience. Applications lacking this will be discarded. Any university/extern based reviews are encouraged. Early submissions are given higher priority for candidacy for the interview process, since we invite only a select number of applicants for interview. Site visits are preferred. The applicant will be notified by email once their application is complete. Our campus is tobacco/vapor/e-cigarette free. Once an applicant is accepted, they will submit for testing of tobacco substance, among other required screenings.
