The Robley Rex VA Medical Center services an adult/geriatric population, providing hearing evaluations, diagnostics, hearing aid and assistive device fittings/service, tinnitus management program (PTM) and aural rehabilitation clinics. We do not conduct electrophysiology testing as a part of our clinical diagnostics. We currently have an Audiology staff consisting of a Service Chief, six full time Audiologists, two part time Audiologists and one 4th year Extern.
The position is a one year commitment beginning in May 2019 through May 2020. It is a stipend position, pending budget approval.

Externship site expects the extern to have mastered these skills before they begin their clinical externship:
Conduct complete hearing evaluation/diagnostics. Hearing aid fitting and troubleshooting, manufacturer's software for HA programming.
Externship site expects the extern to learn/demonstrate these skills during their clinical externship:
Become proficient in fitting a variety of HA's and assistive devices from various hearing aid manufacturers.
