We are primarily a pediatric interdisciplinary clinic. We see children with a wide array of developmental issues from birth to 18. Our main focus is diagnostics but we also have a steady population of children with hearing loss. In addition, we staff various clinics for premature infants, adults with developmental delays as well as autism. Hearing aids, VRA, behavioral testing, OAE's (distortion product), APD testing are all included in our test battery.
We are considered a training facility which requires interns to participate in core lecture series, shadow patients, perform leadership responsibilities, and collaborate with the interns and residents of other disciplines on staff.

To apply to our facility we require the following items.
Once all the items are received we will evaluate them and may contact you for an interview.
Materials may be submitted via email; but we do require that letters of recommendation come directly from the reference.
Interviews must be done in person. No Skype or phone interviews. Non-negotiable. Experience has taught us that over the phone interviews/online interviews do not present the best of either party.
Interview date is November 16th with a back up date of November 19th.

Externship site expects the extern to have mastered these skills before they begin their clinical externship:
-Experience with VRA and OAE's -Basic report writing -Programming hearing aids -Pediatric experience
Externship site expects the extern to learn/demonstrate these skills during their clinical externship:
-Proficiency in testing even the most difficult of patients -Upon completion be able to test independently but know when they need additional support-Make appropriate referrals -Understand the basics of childhood development and recognize when abnormalities are present -Gain an understanding of other health professions through out unique internship process

Yes Due to our unique setting, proximity to other disciplines allow for an increased opportunity to learn and participate in research. Our clinic has affiliations with Autism research and CMV research.

Steps for the student/university to follow in the application process:
