Our patient-centered, private practice is located in midtown Manhattan. We offer a solid clinical experience that guides students through basic auditory diagnostics, preventive hearing health, tinnitus assessment and management, hearing aid assessment and management, as well as comprehensive vestibular assessment. In addition to a strong clinical experience, students gain significant perspective on the business side of audiology (marketing, outreach, etc). We are seeking a strong 4th Year Clinical Resident who is interested in becoming an outstanding clinician through varied clinical and business experiences.
- Working towards the completion of an AuD from a recognized academic institution.
- Ability to perform basic clinical diagnostics, hearing aid checks, etc with supervision.
- Desire to work in a private practice that is very strong clinically, but also entrepreneurial-minded.
- Friendly, collaborative, desire to be a part of a team (other AuDs, ENTs, primary care MDs, PTs, etc.)
- Live in NYC-area or desire/ ability to relocate to NYC area (no relocation expenses will be covered by the practice)
Externship site expects the extern to have mastered these skills before they begin their clinical externship:
Auditory assessment, understanding of hearing aid manufacturers/ devices/ technologies, understanding of auditory and vestibular electrophysiology, how to function in a professional healthcare environment.
Externship site expects the extern to learn/demonstrate these skills during their clinical externship:
Professionalism, willingness to learn, desire to improve personally as well as professionally, top tier interpersonal skills.
