4th Year Externship located in the lovely town of Plymouth, Michigan. Hug Center for Hearing is a busy clinic and serves a mostly adult population, some kiddos occasionally. Regular duties include adult hearing tests, hearing aid selections/evaluations, hearing aid delivery and orientations, and hearing aid follow-up/service appointments. The Extern will manage the daily Walk-in Clinic for hearing aid services. Other duties include, but are not limited to, visiting select senior living facilities we provide hearing aid services to for those who do not have transportation to our clinic, attending the occasional health fair to promote the clinic, and assisting in patient appreciation activities. Patient care is our priority here at Hug Center for Hearing, we would love to have you come shadow in our clinic to see if this would be a good fit.
Requirements include current enrollment in an AuD program and completion of education requirements per the program at the time of externship start date.
Start date is the first week of May, 2019, however that date is flexible depending on your school requirements.
