Established private, nonprofit agency with full-service audiology clinic seeks a competent and self-motivated 4th-year AuD student to assess, diagnose, and treat patients of all ages. Supervision and mentorship provided by two licensed and ASHA certified AuDs
Current AuD student at an accredited college or university
Prior experience working with both pediatrics and adults preferred
Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
Ability to work in a team environment
Experience with cochlear implants a plus, but not required
Externship site expects the extern to have mastered these skills before they begin their clinical externship:
Comprehensive audiological evaluations Auditory Brainstem Response (ABR) testing Counseling Selection and fitting of hearing aids Verification Hearing aid maintenance and repair Ear mold impressions Cerumen management
Externship site expects the extern to learn/demonstrate these skills during their clinical externship:
Clinical competency and professionalism
