The UTHealth Department of Otorhinolaryngology (www.ut-ent.org ) is seeking a staff audiologist to participate in a rapidly growing audiology program based in state-of-the-art clinical offices located at the Memorial Hermann Medical Plaza in the Texas Medical Center as well as occasional travel to community-based clinic in southeast Houston.
The ideal candidate for this position should be seeking an opportunity to participate in a fast-paced, comprehensive audiology practice. Qualified candidates should have experience in diagnostic audiology, a background in hearing aid evaluation and fitting, and be comfortable working with patients of all ages. New graduates are encouraged to apply. Applicants must be eligible for Texas licensure.
Current audiology services include adult and pediatric audiology diagnostic testing, vestibular evaluation, and electrophysiology studies (including sedated and unsedated ABRs, VEMP, and ECOG). Rehabilitative services include hearing aids, tinnitus management, osseointegrated devices, and cochlear implants. Audiologists collaborate closely with the Department’s otorhinolaryngologists and other healthcare professionals.
License in Audiology from the State of Texas or must obtain within two months of initial employment AND Certificate of Clinical Competency in Audiology (CCC-A) or Board Certification from the American Board of Audiology are required.
