Position Summary: We are currently seeking a full-time audiologist who is passionate about private practice. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing comprehensive diagnostic testing, hearing aid evaluation, selection, and fitting, patient counseling, and follow-up care. Additional responsibilities may include vestibular testing, cochlear implant evaluation and mapping, tinnitus counseling and management, and fitting Lyric extended-wear hearing aids. We require a solid commitment to compassionate patient care, working in a fast-paced team environment, and enthusiasm for continuing education and professional development.
Primary Job Responsibilities:
Diagnostic testing to include full audiological diagnostic evaluations, tympanometry and acoustic reflex threshold testing, occasional testing of pediatric patients
Patient counseling regarding test results, amplification technology, expectations, and development of individual hearing care plans
Selection and fitting of hearing aids as well as hearing aid verification
Modification of ear molds and hearing aids
Perform in-house hearing aid repairs and coordinate manufacturer repairs
Recommend and demonstrate assistive listening devices
Maintain accurate patient records by documenting and updating test results, evaluations, treatment programs, and outcomes
Draft written reports to referring physicians and other service providers.
Assist with general practice marketing efforts, as directed.
Participate in community education/outreach activities
Assist with physician outreach activities
Maintain patient confidentiality at all times in compliance with HIPAA regulations
Maintain the highest ethical standards of audiology practice
Assist with other office administrative tasks as required.
Master’s Degree in Audiology, Doctor of Audiology (Au.D.) preferred
Eligible for Georgia audiology license
2+ years of experience in a clinical audiology setting is preferred, recent Au.D. graduates will be considered.
Strong interest in treatment of hearing loss and hearing aid dispensing for adults
Ability to function in a dynamic, fast-paced private practice with significant patient load
