ENT Specialists of Arizona is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic extern for a great learning experience in our busy ENT clinic. The extern will work closely with two doctors of Audiology in addition to our medical team. Audiologic services include comprehensive audiometry, hearing aid selection and fitting, tympanometry, OAE testing, ABR testing, and ENG testing. The student will be supervised but will have the opportunity to develop independent clinical skills.

Yes Students will be allowed to attend conferences and trainings pertaining to their areas of interest. Students will coordinate with supervisors to arrange these opportunities.

Yes The extern will split time evenly between our offices in Tempe and Mesa. Driving time between the offices is about 30 minutes. The extern will typically spend an entire day at one site. Mid-day travel between offices is rare.

basic audiometry, basic hearing aid selection and fitting

advanced audiometry skills, independent hearing aid selection and fitting skills, ABR testing, ENG testing, reporting, comfort with insurances and multiple payers, patient counseling, ability to work within a multi-disciplinary team
