The Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders is seeking an experienced Audiologist to provide clinical instruction to Audiology graduate students and provide direct service in our Wendell Johnson Speech & Hearing Clinic. Responsibilities include: (1) provide clinical instruction to audiology graduate student clinicians in a clinical setting which provides routine diagnostic services, aural (re)habilitation including hearing aid selection, fitting and follow up care, and hearing loss prevention services; (2) provide clinical instruction to audiology graduate student clinicians in community outreach events such as health fairs and hearing screenings; (3) provide direct patient care in the audiology clinic.
Salary: Commensurate with experience with a range of $68,000 – $83,000

Prospective candidates must have a clinical doctorate in audiology (Au.D.) or master’s degree in audiology from an accredited program plus nine months clinical experience, currently hold a Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology and currently have or be qualified to obtain State of Iowa license in Audiology and Hearing Aid Dispensing. Experience in diagnostic testing is also required. Desired qualifications include experience in the following areas: (1) hearing aid selection, fitting and follow-up care; (2) clinical instruction of audiology graduate students.
