To assess, diagnose, and treat patients with hearing, balance, and related disorders in conjunction with our team of ENT physicians, Physician Assistants, and Audiologists.
Looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated, knowledgeable audiologist interested in joining our private ENT practice community in the Twin Cities. Clinic work sites will be located primarily in southern metro area. Position is a minimum .7 FTE commitment but will also consider up to 1.0 FTE as well.
Au.D degree with 1-2 yrs. experience; will consider Master’s degree with significant clinical and hearing aid experience
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Good problem solving and conflict management skills
Works well in a team environment
Basic clinical diagnostic competencies including modification of techniques for uncooperative, non-English speaking, or pediatric patients, Immittance testing techniques, OAE
Test strategies used with young children, including otoacoustic emissions, play audiometry, and visual reinforcement audiometry.
Effective counseling skills
Administration and interpretation of vestibular function tests (ENG, VNG)**(future)
Identification and treatment of BPPV (benign paroxysmal positional vertigo) with canalith repositioning maneuvers**
Current knowledge of hearing aids, earmolds, and assistive listening devices, and techniques of hearing aid analysis, including appropriate real ear verification and electroacoustic analysis
Advanced Qualifications for future consideration:
Tinnitus Retraining Therapy
