Charlotte Speech and Hearing Center is a well-established and respected non-profit practice whose mission is to provide access to superior speech-language and hearing services using the latest technology and top notch patient care. We are searching for a highly-qualified, additional diagnostic and dispensing audiologist to help expand our clinics’ footprint and grow our presence in Mecklenburg and Union counties.
The right candidate is passionate about helping patients hear well, but also has the ambition to grow professionally while helping to elevate our practice to the highest level. CSHC provides a professional, yet warm and welcoming environment that values high-quality and innovative patient care. The majority of our hearing patients are adults; nearly all of our pediatric patients are 5 years or older.
A candidate who possesses a high level of initiative and drive, as well as strong practice management and independent problem solving skills, may be considered for a combined clinical and management role.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Establish rapport with, and gather history from patients and caregivers
Conduct audiometric testing including tympanometry and otoacoustics emission testing
Counsel patients; and make recommendations for hearing aids and related devices
Make ear impressions, ear molds, order and track instruments
Program hearing aids and perform in-house repairs
Fit hearing aids and assist with any adjustments, questions or problems
Maintain documentation and patient files in our EMR system
Have a strong commitment to patient outcomes and our mission to serve the community
Collaborate with marketing and development team to grow our practice and mission
Collaborate with finance and executive team for budget planning and tracking purposes
Work at two locations during the week, mileage reimbursement is available
We provide a strong benefit package including health/dental/vision/life insurance options, above market pension and 401k contributions, generous vacation time plus 11 paid holidays, flexible scheduling, health/dependent care savings accounts, reimbursement for licensing and membership fees as well as continuing education. Salary offered will be commensurate with experience and skill set. CSHC values patient care and outcomes over sales, so does not provide commission and does not set sales quotas for providers.

Additional Salary Information: quarterly bonuses are available and are based upon personal, departmental and organizational performance.

Charlotte Speech and Hearing Center was founded in 1967 by the Junior League of Charlotte as a preschool for children born with hearing impairments as a result of the Rubella epidemic.
