Hearing Systems is offering a 4th year AuD externship position located in Houston, Texas.Starting date will be May/June 2020 to May 2021.Hearing Systems is a private practice clinical setting providing hearing health care for all ages.Externs will have the opportunity to experience comprehensive diagnostic hearing evaluation, hearing aid evaluation and fitting, tinnitus evaluation and management, custom earmolds of multiple types and dispense a variety of assistive listening devices.In addition, externs will obtain clinical hours for vestibular, cochlear implant and BAHA fittings off site arranged by the clinic.A stipend will be offered.Interested applicants please submit resumes via email to firstname.lastname@example.org

Externship site expects the extern to have mastered these skills before they begin their clinical externship:
*Comprehensive hearing evaluation for adults and children *Comfortable with hearing aid fittings with GN Resound, Oticon, Phonak and Widex
Externship site expects the extern to learn/demonstrate these skills during their clinical externship:
Confidence in counseling patients regarding their hearing loss and management options with hearing aid devices. Gain understanding of private practice day to day operations. Offsite vestibular, CI, BAHA diagnostic and fitting clinical experience.
