Advanced ENT & Allergy is the largest private practice group in the Louisville and Southern Indiana area, including 19 physicians, 14 audiologists and several office locations, all within a 25 mile radius. Our growing practice is seeking two audiology externs to provide a wide variety of hearing and balance services for all ages. Our busy clinics offer excellent clinical and research experiences in a fast-paced, comfortable learning environment. The supervising audiology staff ranges from new graduates to “seasoned veterans,” providing an individualized level of support.
Services include: audiological evaluations of all ages during daily clinic, BPPV evaluation and treatment, VNG, VHit, cVEMPs, Adult ECoG and ABR, clinical research evaluations, and full range hearing aid services.

Externship site expects the extern to have mastered these skills before they begin their clinical externship:
Basic audiometry and immittance on peds & adults. Basic hearing aid care. Basic BPPV evaluation and treatment.
Externship site expects the extern to learn/demonstrate these skills during their clinical externship:
Special testing independence including ABR, ECoG, VNG and VHit. Independent hearing aid selection, fitting and care.

Yes Research department conducts ongoing studies on Meniere's, tinnitus, sudden SNHL, PE tubes, etc. Audiology is performed on all enrolled patients.
