Watertown Audiology and Fyzical Therapy are proud to announce two one-year externship opportunities in our offices in Syracuse and Watertown, New York.
Watertown Audiology, a private practice, currently has four full-time audiologists, three hearing aid specialists, three physical therapists, two physical therapy assistants and a great support staff between the two offices. Watertown Audiology, which opened in 1999, is owned by Dr. Sarah Sugden.
The offices are located near the Adirondack Park, Thousand Islands and the Finger Lakes regions of New York. The area has an abundance of great restaurants and shopping, along with several music venues, theaters and museums.
Watertown Audiology provides diagnostic hearing evaluations from infants to adults, tinnitus evaluations, Auditory Processing testing and Videonystagmography (VNG), posturography, and fitting and dispensing of hearing aids. We work closely with our Physical Therapy Department to ensure the highest quality of care for our patients.
Our Physical Therapy specializes in balance and dizziness disorders, concussion management and vestibular rehabilitation. We also offer orthopedic rehabilitation services.
Our team of Audiologists and Physical Therapists work closely with numerous ENT groups, primary care physicians and specialists.
These 4th year externships are full-time positions and do offer a stipend. One externship will be in our Watertown, New York, office, and the second externship will be based in our Syracuse, NY, facility. Both offices offer the same experience and services.
The positions are a 12-month commitment with anticipated start dates of May 2020-May 2021 and will consist of 2080 hours until completion. Start Date is Flexible. All audiologists either have ASHA (CCC-A) and/or AAA (F-AAA) for supervisor coverage.
Our previous fourth-year externships have come from the University of Buffalo, Salus University, Syracuse University, University of Texas-Austin, University of Cincinnati and Gallaudet University.

Professionalism, willingness to learn, desire to improve personally as well as professionally, top tier interpersonal skills.
