Colorado Hearing/ Hearing Life is an audiology practice located in Colorado ENT and Allergy with 11 physicians and 4 audiologists. There are two locations to Colorado ENT and allergy, and both locations are looking for externs. The externship would NOT fluctuate between the two locations.
We provide audiological services to all age ranges and can offer a 4th year extern a diverse clinical experience. Our services include adult/pediatric diagnostic testing (hearing test, tympanogram, acoustic reflexes and otoacoustic emissions), adult hearing aid evaluation/fitting with various manufacturers, tinnitus evaluations, and BAHA evaluations/fittings.

Externship site expects the extern to have mastered these skills before they begin their clinical externship:
Perform comprehensive hearing evaluations on pediatric to geriatric patients, understand how to accurately mask when needed, how to interpret hearing evaluations. The externship should also have familiarity with programming and trouble shooting hearing aids.
Externship site expects the extern to learn/demonstrate these skills during their clinical externship:
To comfortably and confident relay test results to the patient and to devise a potential plan for rehabilitation.
