Nova Southeastern University’s Health Professions Division is expanding with a recent $230 million in investments and endowments. With a new hospital being built on the NSU Fort Lauderdale campus, the Audiology Department announces the availability for an audiology faculty position.
We are seeking candidates with a passion for clinical service and precepting. Applicants are expected to have a strong background in and dedication to scholarly activity, teaching, service and to interact well with colleagues and students. Our current faculty have an eight-credit load per semester, which can be split amongst teaching, clinical precepting, and scholarly activity (with appropriate grant funding).
The department, a clinically focused Au.D. program, is currently in its 19th year of offering the on-campus Doctor of Audiology (Au.D.) degree. It also is the home of the state-of-the-art Audiology Clinic.
Applicants with a Ph.D. in Audiology or Communication Sciences are desired, but those who are ABD or hold a similar doctoral degree, such as an Au.D., will be considered.
Applicants must be eligible for Florida Audiology license.
A minimum of three years of clinical experience is required, five years is preferred.
