Privately funded hearing healthcare practice located in Boston, MA is seeking a self-motivated full time Audiologist. The ideal candidate must have strong clinical and hearing aid dispensing skills and have the ability to effectively counsel and establish rapport with patients and their families. Must be able to work independently. One evening and two Saturdays per month are required.
Position available on or about February 1st, 2020.
Obtain a thorough patient case history. Conduct audiometric testing and counsel patients regarding hearing rehabilitative options. Make appropriate otologic referrals and/or hearing aid recommendations.
Take ear impressions, order earmolds and appropriate hearing instruments.
Fit hearing aids and follow up with necessary counseling and adjustments. Verify fitting using real ear analyzer.
Maintain documentation and patient files.
Cerumen management as appropriate. (Experience a plus but this skill can be learned after hire.)
Sign language skills a plus.
Mostly adult population, though some pediatrics.
Masters or Aud degree
MA Licensure in Audiology
Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently
Ability to interact professionally with patients, physicians and other professionals
5 years post graduate experience in clinical audiology and hearing aid dispensing
