The Audiology Clinic at University California Davis Medical Center is now accepting applications for ONE 4th Year Audiology Externship Position. Our clinic provides a full range of audiologic services to patients of all ages. Diagnostic services include behavioral and electrophysiological evaluations of hearing and balance function (audiometry, OAEs, VNGs, ABR & ASSR); treatment services include the fitting of hearing aid amplification, BAHS and cochlear implants.
This is a one year position beginning July 1, 2020 and ending June 30, 2021. Applications are being accepted now through Thursday, November 15, 2019. Selected applicants will be contacted for an initial Skype interview. Second interviews may be required. Final selection will likely be made by or in December, 2019.

Externship site expects the extern to have mastered these skills before they begin their clinical externship:
- Ability to perform basic audiologic evaluation for adults.- Experience and familiarity of audiologic evaluations for pediatrics.- Ability to perform hearing aid evaluations, fittings and checks.- Experience with cochlear implant patients- Experience with vestibular testing- Experience with electrophysiology testing.
Externship site expects the extern to learn/demonstrate these skills during their clinical externship:
- Professionalism- Transition from learned student to independent clinician able to administer and interpret audiologic tests, to be able to provide sound audiologic recommendations, and develop and execute audiologic rehabiliation and treatments.
