Gardner Audiology is a 37 year old hearing healthcare company. We are doctors dedicated to improving peoples lives with the best possible hearing through compassion, innovation, and expertise in all aspects of hearing healthcare.
All Gardner Audiologists have earned a Doctoral degree and are all board certified Audiologists. All Audiologists in our company are also ASHA Certified.
We provide diagnostic hearing exams, vestibular testing, tinnitus testing, and hearing aid services to hospitals, physicians, and our own patients at 9 locations throughout the Tampa Bay area. Large international companies partner with us to field study consumer satisfaction with hearing aids.
We are a student-focused practice, and enjoy taking 3rd year and 4th year externs. As a member of the Gardner Audiology team, you will be heavily involved in all aspects of the private practice setting. The owners and staff enjoy gaining a new perspective on patient care through the experience and education of the students. We frequently have several students throughout our locations.
For the 2020-21 year, we are seeking 4th year Externs for our 9 location practice. We provide an excellent environment for students, and our Audiologists are passionate about mentoring and supporting students during their time with us.
Post 4th year career opportunities may also be available.

Yes We have 9 locations throughout Tampa Bay, in Citrus, Marion, Pasco, Hillsborough, Hernando & Pinellas counties. All Externships will involve traveling between several different offices within a 20-40 mile radius.

Externship site expects the extern to have mastered these skills before they begin their clinical externship:
Completion of 3rd year Au.D program in good academic standing; basic audiological skills including comprehensive audiograms with basic interpretation and management of test findings. immitance, General report writing skills, professionalism. General hearing aid knowledge with history of assisting Audiologist with programming, fittings, counseling
Externship site expects the extern to learn/demonstrate these skills during their clinical externship:
Knowledge & execution of proper testing procedures, including taking case history & counseling. Create and maintain patient relationships, assist in fitting hearing aids, follow up.
