Nova Southeastern University’s Health Professions Division is expanding with a recent $230 million in investments and endowments. With a new hospital being built on the NSU Fort Laudersale campus, the Audiology Department announces the availability for an audiology faculty position.
Applicants with a Ph.D. in Audiology or Communication Sciences are desired, but those who are ABD or hold a similar doctoral degree, such as an Au.D., will be considered; applicants must be eligible for a Florida Audiology license.
We are seeking candidates with a passion for clinical service and precepting. Applicants are expected to have a strong background in and dedication to scholarly activity, teaching, service and to interact well with colleagues and students. A minimum of three years of clinical experience is required, five years is preferred. Our current faculty have an eight-credit load per semester, which can be split amongst teaching, clinical precepting, and scholarly activity.
NSU is a private, not-for-profit, dynamic research institution with more than 22,000 students at the undergraduate, graduate and first-professional degree levels. The Audiology Department is a part of the NSU Health Professions Division along with other first-professional degree programs such as Medicine, Dentistry, Pharmacy, and Optometry. The department, a clinically focused AuD program, is currently in its 20th year of offering the on-campus Doctor of Audiology (AuD) degree. It also is the home of the state-of-the-art Audiology Clinic.
