Sounds of Life Hearing Center, LLC – located in Concord Township, Ohio (30 minutes east of Cleveland) – is seeking a motivated, enthusiastic, passionate, service-minded audiologist to join & grow my practice beginning in May/June 2020. New graduates are encouraged to apply!
Opened in October 2018 (from scratch!) the practice is small. Dr. Sarah Curtis (the owner) is the only audiologist on staff with a Patient Care Coordinator and a 4th year extern.
In this position, you would provide the following services for patients from infancy through adulthood:
Diagnostic hearing evaluations including VRA, CPA, and OAEs
Community hearing screenings
Communication needs assessments
Selection, fitting, and repairing of hearing aids
Development of comprehensive treatment plans
Auditory processing evaluations
Tinnitus evaluations and rehabilitation
Custom earpieces for hearing protection and listening needs
Contracted Veteran testing
Sounds of Life Hearing Center fits and services all major manufacturers. Best practices are utilized including performing electroacoustic analysis and real ear measures for every hearing aid fitting.
Though cochlear implant services and electrophysiologic testing are not currently offered, we hope to do so in the next few years. We do not anticipate provision of vestibular services beyond screening.
Creativity and clinical research is supported and encouraged! For example, in 2020, we were accepted to present a Learning Module at the AAA conference (canceled) regarding our in-house research regarding real-ear measurements.
Dedication to excellent care and best possible patient outcomes
Willingness to think outside the box and welcome change and flexibility
Commitment to growing the practice through community marketing and education
Au.D. degree (can be new graduate)
CCC-A is NOT required
Must be comfortable precepting (audiologists with less than 3 years of clinical experience will not be asked to precept)
Additional Salary Information: Initially this will be a half-time position; however, it will grow to a full-time salaried position once the practice has achieved enough growth to sustain a full-time salary (hopefully within 90 days).
Compensation includes paid state licensure fees, membership fees for one national and one state organization, a $500 continuing education stipend, 2 weeks PTO, 1 week sick time, 10 paid holidays, and approved time spent in continuing education opportunities is paid and not taken from PTO.
