Casa Colina is a non-profit, freestanding, community-governed organization. The externship will provide the student with the opportunity to serve patients of all ages. Our current caseload consists of about 2/3 pediatrics and 1/3 adults. Our facility serves as an anchor in the region for newborn hearing evaluations/treatment. Spanish is preferred, but not required.
Successful completion of all university requirements.

Externship site expects the extern to have mastered these skills before they begin their clinical externship:
The student is expected to be comfortable independently performing otoscopy and audiometric evaluations on adults and older children.
Externship site expects the extern to learn/demonstrate these skills during their clinical externship:
The student will become proficient in performing newborn evaluations, VNG testing and testing younger children using more traditional methods. The student will independently interpret results and make appropriate recommendations/referrals.

Intra-operative monitoring cases
