We are seeking two, 4th year externs for a full year contract. The student must be entering their fourth year of their Au.D. degree in audiology. A desire to work in the pediatric population and some previous pediatric experience is preferred. Our practice is a very busy and you will leave our site with experience and extensive knowledge of all aspects surrounding pediatric audiology and ENT care. Our practice regularly completes comprehensive ABR testing, newborn hearing screening, behavioral audiological assessments and hearing aid/BAHA/Ponto/Osia evaluations and fittings, as well as, cochlear implant evaluation and mapping with all three CI manufacturers. - standard audiometry - conditioned play audiometry - visual reinforcement audiometry - hearing aid selection, fitting, management - BAHA (softband/surgical) selection, fitting, management - Cochlear implant candidacy, discussion, mapping - Unsedated ABR (threshold click and threshold toneburst) - Second testing in booth - Counseling families of new ID'd hearing losses
