The Hearing Center is well-suited for a 4th Year Externship as we offer a wide variety of services for all age groups. Our Audiology services include basic comprehensive audiometry, ABR, OAE, ECochG, APD, comprehensive vestibular assessments, cochlear implant and bone anchored device management and hearing device dispensing with all populations.
This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic, motivated, self-driven, highly organized extern eager to work in a team environment which encourages professional growth in a fast-paced practice resulting in an Audiologist who is thoroughly prepared for the field.
Applicants are required to have successfully completed all academic and clinic experience requirements of their first, second and third year programs.

Externship site expects the extern to have mastered these skills before they begin their clinical externship:
Basic audiogram including impedance testing and masking of air/bone. OAE administration and interpretation. Hearing aid dispensing skills. Hearing aid selection. Earmold selection. Basic knowledge of hearing aid fine tuning.
Externship site expects the extern to learn/demonstrate these skills during their clinical externship:
Student will master air/bone masking skills. Hearing aid Selection and Dispensing Hearing aid follow up skills. Interpretation of OAE test results.
