The Scholl Center announces the availability of a 4th year extern for the 2020/2021 academic year with a focus on private practice and business development.

Our vision is to be the number one hearing care destination for both patients and team members. We have 18 busy private practice locations located in Tulsa, Kansas City, Omaha and Lincoln. We practice in an evidence-based, best practice, patient centered model providing an excellent opportunity to learn.
As a 4th year extern you will be responsible for audiometric hearing evaluations, comprehensive balance assessments, hearing aid fittings, follow-up care, tinnitus management, verification, cerumen management, cochlear implant mapping, business development, business management, marketing and customer service and providing patients with the best solution for their hearing loss and lifestyle. The audiologist extern may provide other standard tests as needed. S/he will counsel and educate patients regarding test results and will articulately review the options that best meet their hearing care needs. The audiologist extern will engage in educating patients, developing patients for life, reviewing pricing options, and dispensing hearing aids as a part of the patient education process.

Audiometric testing, Real Ear Verification, Vendor software training
Externship site expects the extern to learn/demonstrate these skills during their clinical externship:
The audiologist extern will engage in educating patients, developing patients for life, reviewing pricing options, and dispensing hearing aids as a part of the patient education process. Other areas of focus will include tinnitus management, verification, cerumen management, Lyric fittings, business development, business management, marketing and customer service. Some day travel may be required for staffing of outreach clinics.
