OUTSTANDING CANDIDATE FOR A DIVERSE EXTERNSHIP EXPERIENCE
We are seeking an individual who is ready for an intensive and rewarding educational externship experience in a fast-paced private practice setting. As the only audiology practice in our community, we serve a growing population of patients of all ages. We also work with three busy ENT practices, providing medical audiology services and follow-up care for those patients. The extern would gain extensive experience in diagnostic hearing evaluations (pediatrics and adults), exposure to vestibular assessment and management of dizzy patients, electrophysiologic testing (primarily ABR), tinnitus management, hearing aid fitting and dispensing, and cochlear implant assessment and programming.
Our practice is currently staffed by three audiologists. The audiologist owner, Dr. Kelly Churchill, has practiced audiology for nearly 30 years and has had the pleasure of mentoring and working with externs for the majority of that time. Our audiologists follow best practices and believe in the importance of evidence-based care. It is expected that the extern similarly embraces the importance of best practices
The successful candidate will help us to achieve the highest standards of patient-oriented hearing care, to add vitality to our positive hearing-care culture, and to be committed to continual self improvement and team growth. A positive attitude, mature disposition, and commitment to team-work are all vital characteristics of our team members. A strong work ethic and commitment to excellence, details, and on-time task completion are also important characteristics of the successful candidate.
Over the last 20 years, we have trained 25 doctoral externs from all over the country and world with 100% professional placement upon completion of their programs
