Griffin Regional Educational Services Agency (RESA) is seeking to fill a part-time audiologist position. Griffin RESA supports the Deaf Hard of Hearing programs in our eight (8) South Metro school systems which include Butts, Fayette, Henry, Lamar, Newton, Pike, Spalding & Upson counties. This position provides an excellent opportunity to render diagnostic and consultative services to school-age students who may be impacted by their hearing loss in instructional environments. If you would like an excellent opportunity to serve this population without the hassle of selling hearing aids/assistive hearing technology, this may be the position for you. The pace of appointments allows you ample time to assess the child and consult with parents/guardians regarding the results, to help create an environment that is personal, unrushed and promotes quality hearing health care. This position is a 90-day contract position (which averages about 2.5 days a week) with a competitive compensation package, including benefits and retirement (pension). Job duties include but is not limited to, administer and interpret diagnostic audiological assessments; provide educational recommendations for students with hearing impairments including hearing assistive listening technology, provide consultation to parents, teacher and administrators.
