Exceptional opportunity for an audiology externship with a rapidly growing private practice audiology clinic centrally located in Columbia, SC. Carolina Hearing and Tinnitus is seeking a motivated audiology student to train for a full calendar year, starting May 2021.The selected candidate will benefit from a smaller environment with 1 dedicated experienced clinical audiologist and the ability to consult with 3 other audiologists. We provide audiological services to mostly an adult population and can offer a 4th year extern a diverse clinical experience. Our services include adult diagnostic testing (audiogram, tympanometry and acoustic reflexes); tinnitus assessment and treatment/counseling; adult hearing aid evaluations (fitting and verification with various manufacturers); and diagnostic assessment of balance (VNG, ABR, VEMPs and rotary chair). The ideal candidate will be highly motivated, a strong team player and have a strong desire to learn a full spectrum of audiologic services. Applicants will have completed their university course work and be competent in performing diagnostic audiologic procedures on adults.
