A leading hearing healthcare practice in the East Texas (Lufkin, Texas) area is seeking an audiology extern to join our very special team of hearing healthcare providers. This is a career opportunity for a passionate extern to provide diagnostic and hearing aid services to our respective patients.
We are a large private practice that includes an audiologist, hearing instrument specialist, and audiology tech. Our duties include:
Performing adult and pediatric diagnostic testing to assess patient's hearing to determine appropriate treatment options or recommendations.
Developing, documenting, implementing and evaluating hearing treatment plans.
Providing hearing device modifications, repairs, and adjustments.
Educating and counseling patients, caregivers and family members on treatment options and continuing care.

Externship site expects the extern to have mastered these skills before they begin their clinical externship:
Perform adult and pediatric diagnostic testing to assess patient's hearing to determine appropriate treatment options or recommendations.
Develop, document, implement and evaluate hearing treatment plans.
Provide hearing device modifications, repairs, and adjustments.
Educate and counsel patients, caregivers and family members on treatment options and continuing care.
