Clinical Audiologist
Silverstein Institute
The Silverstein Institute is seeking two full-time Doctors of Audiology to join our highly motivated team in providing quality care to our patients. Audiology 4th year Doctoral candidates will also be considered. The Institute, a renowned otolaryngology practice and research facility has specialized in providing advanced surgical and rehabilitative care for individuals with hearing and balance disorders for over 40 years. The Institute, comprised of five Otolaryngologists, an Otology Fellow, Physical Therapists, a Research Coordinator, Physician Assistants, 5 Audiologists, two Audiology 4th year Externs, and Nurses provide a wide range of ancillary services including allergy and vestibular rehabilitation. The team collaborates on numerous clinical research projects. Our Audiologists provide full diagnostic hearing evaluations, electrophysiologic and vestibular assessments which include VNG, ABR,CDP, ECochG, cVEMPs, Hyperacusis and Tinnitus Evaluations. Our team works with all Cochlear Implant, Bone Anchored Hearing Systems, and other implantable technology companies in addition to all hearing aid manufacturers. The focus of one position will be supporting the hearing aid division in satellite offices 1-2 days a week. The Audiologist will also provide hearing aid evaluations, selection and fitting of appropriate amplification and therefore should have experience in hearing aid dispensing and sales. The candidate should exhibit working knowledge of most major hearing aid manufacturers. The candidate will need to possess strong counseling and customer service skills with the ability to work independently. The second position will focus on working with cochlear, bone conduction and other implant technology. The Audiologist will provide implant consultations, evaluations, device selections and programming. The candidate should have exposure or experience in implantable technology. Both candidates will be required to perform full hearing and balance diagnostic evaluations in addition to their dispensing or implant responsibilities. The positions offer a well-rounded experience in many areas of Audiology.
