Clinical Audiologist
The Center for ENT is looking to add a Diagnostic Audiologist to our team!

Work Schedule: Set 8 Hour Shift Workday/ Mon-Fri
Amounts of Travel Required: None
POSITION SUMMARY: The Audiologist assesses hearing for a varied patient population and recommends appropriate intervention, including the use of hearing aids. The Audiologist performs patient evaluation, audiograms and tympanograms.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Examines patients to assess the nature and extent of hearing problems.
- Collaborates with physicians regarding the diagnosis of medical problems related to the auditory and vestibular systems.
- Conducts hearing tests on The Center for ENT patients as ordered by a physician and on direct Premier Audiology patients.
- Interprets test results and discusses with the patient.
- Develops and carries out treatment programs.
- Keeps records on the initial evaluation, progress, and discharge of patients.
- Recommends hearing assistance tools (hearing aids, etc.) and lifestyle changes to maintain and/or improve hearing levels.
- Perform procedures such as cleaning the ear canal and fitting hearing aids.
- Teaches communication strategies for use in a variety of environments.
- Shares knowledge of new hearing or speech disorder treatment methods or technologies with staff.
- Maintains audiology equipment and coordinates services as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Doctor of Audiology degree (Au.D.) from an accredited program.
Experience: This position is open to recent graduates! We would prefer someone with audiogram and tympanogram experience.
Certificates & Licenses: Licensed Audiologist in the state of Texas by time of hire

· Mathematical – Can perform advanced mathematical calculations.
· Technical Knowledge – Comprehend complex medical topics and knowledge of specialized audiology equipment.
· Mental/Reasoning – Strong analytical skills and objective judgement.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The Audiologist must possess gross coordination and dexterity sufficient to perform patient care duties as required. The employee is frequently required to bend and stoop as well as to stand and walk. Most procedures require that the Audiologist has the ability to hear and see well for the accurate completion of tasks.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Working conditions are usually pleasant with the primary work environment being conducted in air-conditioned, well lighted exam rooms and office space. The work environment may include exposure to hazardous material including bodily fluids and cleaning reagents. Given these conditions, employees are required to wear protective garments and must strictly adhere to safety policies.
The Audiologist position requires the employee to work with other members of staff to coordinate patient care. It is essential that the Audiologist has strong interpersonal skills to relate well to patients and interact with other employees in a positive manner to fulfil the duties of the job.
