JOB DESCRIPTION
The primary responsibility of the faculty member in this position is provision of clinical instruction and supervision to Au.D.
students through evidence-based client services with adult and pediatric populations in all areas of audiology. The faculty
member in this position evaluates students’ clinical skill development according to ASHA guidelines and competencies, and
provides comprehensive feedback to further develop these skills in the graduate clinician. The faculty member in this position
is also responsible for providing limited service to the Department, College, and University.

PREFERRED SKILLS
These skills are not required, but preferred:
- Vestibular assessment and rehabilitation
- Evoked potential measures
- Aural rehabilitation
- Auditory processing disorder evaluation and intervention

EXAMPLES OF WORK PERFORMED
- Supervise and instruct Au.D. graduate students during on-campus clinical experiences to ensure quality training
- Determine clinical direction and provide feedback of students’ clinical performance
- Provide direct, billable client services in the USA Speech and Hearing Center, and complete required medical
documentation/reports
- Meet with students and be available during scheduled student appointments
- Maintain compliance with ASHA certification requirements and Alabama state licensure requirements for audiologists

MINIMUM EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/CERTIFICATION
Au.D. and/or Ph.D. in Communication Sciences from an accredited university; preferred three or more years of experience
related to the above described duties AND eligibility for Alabama state licensure and Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC)
from ASHA.
