UNC Chapel Hill's Hearing and Communication Center is a community based hearing and balance center providing diagnostics and treatment to members of the community. Primarily an adult focused center, students will have opportunities to train along side faculty members from UNC Division of Speech and Hearing Sciences. The center provides hearing testing, hearing aid evaluation and hearing aid fitting and Audiologic Rehabilitation (including virtual AR classes). Additionally, the clinic has a growing balance program, which will provide the student opportunities to broaden their expertise in comprehensive dizziness case history, bedside evaluation of the dizzy patient, BPPV assessment and treatment, comprehensive VNG evaluation, vHIT evaluation.
