Practice open Mon-Fri, 8:00a - 5:00p (1/2 hour break daily).

Externship site expects the extern to have mastered these skills before they begin their clinical externship:
All basic comprehensive audiologic procedures/exams. Masking. Interpretation of results. Basic understanding of HA solutions/types recommended per ear anatomy or hearing loss types. Emerging skills for making HA recommendations/sales, which will be improved upon during externship.
Externship site expects the extern to learn/demonstrate these skills during their clinical externship:
Basic admin tasks - answering/making phone calls, scheduling, new HA check-in, stock/inventory management, HA basic orientation/follow-up care/troubleshooting. Various manufacturer programming software suites and appropriate programming adjustments per patient feedback. Efficient/effective time management during appointments. Professional-level chart notes, follow-through, tracking of sales opportunities & outcomes. Fitting verification methods. If desired by student, assist with & learn inner-workings of marketing & practice ownership/management for budding private practice entrepreneurship goals.
