The audiologists at Primary Children’s Hospital (PCH) provide a wide range of diagnostic and habilitative services. These services include sedated and unsedated auditory brainstem response testing, behavioral evaluations, inpatient services, hearing aid services, cochlear implant services, vestibular evaluations, assistive listening devices, and osseointegrated hearing aid services.

We have 14 full time audiologists and 2 audiology aides that work at four different locations: the main campus of Primary Children’s Hospital in Salt Lake City, Riverton Hospital, Layton Hospital, and Taylorsville outreach facility. Our hospital is the only Level I Pediatric Trauma center serving a five-state region. Our patients range in age from newborn to early adulthood. We work closely with multiple specialties including but not limited to Hematology/Oncology, Infectious Disease, Cystic Fibrosis, Craniofacial, ENT, NICU, ICU, Developmental Pediatrics, and Speech.  

We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated extern that is passionate about working with the pediatric population within a hospital-based setting. During your externship here, you will have the opportunity to rotate through all of our locations, work with a variety of supervisors, and gain experience in the full range of audiological services listed above.
