The goal of this educational externship is to provide a well-rounded experience to help students develop the skills necessary for a successful career as an audiologist. As an extern, you can expect to receive intensive training and mentoring from an experienced staff in varied areas of Audiology. During the placement, the extern will have the opportunity to apply academic principles within a clinical practice and learn to work as part of a multidisciplinary team that includes interaction with Ear Nose and Throat Physicians and vestibular physical therapists. With a team of four audiologists as preceptors, the extern is sure to have a positive year full of challenging cases with consistent support and feedback from their supervisors.
This position will provide the selected student extensive exposure to vestibular diagnosis and testing, hearing aids, cochlear implants, assistive listening devices, interoperative monitoring, and other electrophysiological testing.
Clinical time will be spent at Intermountain Cottonwood Audiology.
Intermountain Audiology has a position for a 4th year Doctoral student. Applicants must have completed the requirements of their program’s third year. Letters of intent, resume, and 2 letters of recommendation will need to be submitted by September 22, 2023. The selected student will be contacted for an interview by September 29, 2023.
