Externship site expects the extern to learn/demonstrate these skills during their clinical externship: | -Knowledge and understanding of the big 6 hearing aid manufacturers (including lyric) and their software -Independence in comprehensive audiologic evaluations and diagnoses -Independence in tinnitus evaluations -Independence in comprehensive vestibular evaluations and diagnoses -Independence in counseling and educating patients regarding diagnoses and treatments -Concise, but comprehensive report writing and communications with other health professionals and referral partners |

Application Requirements: | Letters of Recommendation Resume Phone interview 1. Current resume/CV detailing the applicant's education and employment history, audiology internship history, and any special courses or trainings relevant to this audiology placement. 2. Two (2) letters of recommendation, representing the applicant's experience both in the classroom and at external placement locations. |
Steps for the student/university to follow in the application process: | An affiliation contract between Central Coast Audiology and the student's university must be established prior to placement. Following ACEN guidelines but are flexible with regards to when the interview takes place. If you live close, you can come meet us in person and shadow. |
