Externship site expects the extern to have mastered these skills before they begin their clinical externship: | Candidates should have completed and passed all necessary coursework related to the Audiology doctorate and have had a variety of experience in various clinical settings. Candidates will provide letters of recommendation that will help outline their clinical and educational strengths. A copy of student transcript (unofficial) will be provided indicating the student's achievements in coursework. |
Externship site expects the extern to learn/demonstrate these skills during their clinical externship: | Chosen candidate will expect to have exposure to all aspects of Audiology including assessment, counseling and rehabilitation. Externs will have the opportunity to work within a multidisciplinary team which includes ENT, Neurotology, Physical Therapy, and Speech Pathology. The goal will be to build confidence and independence to ensure a successful professional career in Audiology. |
