Waterville Audiology is a family-owned private practice located in Waterville, Maine. At Waterville Audiology, we're committed to reconnecting people to the sounds of life through the diagnosis and management of hearing loss. Our small office primarily works with adult patients and provides services including audiology diagnostics, cerumen management, tinnitus management, as well as hearing aid fittings and repairs. Starting in 2024, we are looking to add add cochlear implant evaluations and mappings to our scope. Our office proudly works with all major hearing aid manufacturers and accepts most commercial insurances.
Many of our patients travel from all over the state to be seen at our facility. This creates a diverse patient population that comes from all walks of life. We are looking for an extern that is compassionate, motivated, independent, and flexible. Our extern should be comfortable administering complete audiologic evaluations independently and know the basics of hearing aid consultations, counseling, and fittings, including real ear measurements. Our extern should expect to learn the ins and outs of each manufacturer’s products, patient specific treatment plans, and the complicated world of hearing aids and insurance. Our extern will have opportunities to attend manufacturer specific training sessions and local audiology meetings and conferences.
This is a paid position with possibility of future employment at the end of the externship.
