California Hearing Center (CHC) is the Bay Area's most prestigious private practice with two offices located in San Mateo and San Carlos! We are seeking a dynamic, energetic, motivated, and passionate students to join our team to learn and grow as clinicians.

Our office will provide you an excellent experience to leave your externship as a prepared clinician well versed in best practices including, but not limited to: -Diagnostic audiological testing for patients from pediatrics through geriatrics (e.g., case history, tymps, reflexes, OAEs, AC/BS thresholds, SRT/WRS testing, & SIN testing.) -Hearing aid modifications and repairs -Hearing aid evaluations, fittings, verification, follow up and troubleshooting with all of the major hearing aid manufacturers -Sound disorder testing, treatment, and management (e.g., tinnitus, hyperacusis, and misophonia) -Real Ear Measurements and Test Box Verification -Earmold and musician’s plug fitting and dispensing

You will also be included in hearing aid manufacturer trainings and educational opportunities throughout the year!
Responsibilities -Be part of a team of audiologists that dispense all levels of hearing instruments
-Learn and grow as a student becoming a provider under supervision of experienced clinicians
-You will assist and also learn to independently lead your own appointments
-You will be empowered to learn how to navigate a variety of clinical situations
-You will be guided on growing your skills of effective methods of educational counseling and how to manage patient care
Compensation
$20,000 (with additional bonus) over the course of the externship year. Please note that this position is also eligible for PTO and additional office perks (e.g., office snacks, team building opportunities, educational opportunities, etc.)
