Audiologist
Summary Coordinates the management of adult and pediatric auditory and vestibular disorders. Diagnoses and treats the patient's hearing and balance problems, using advanced technology and procedures. Job Duties Conducts and Interprets diagnostic testing and comprehensive audiologic evaluations. Counsels patients regarding hearing aids and provides hearing aid evaluations and fittings. Investigates and studies the underlying causes, precipitating factors, and symptomatic behavior of impaired speech patterns. Monitors condition of equipment and calls appropriate repair/maintenance personnel when necessary. Evaluates hearing disorders to determine diagnoses and courses of treatment.
